No Time to Die

This is how my dad and I spent our Christmas Eve. I’m struggling to see how Bond will return after this, but nonetheless No Time to Die was a fun addition to the franchise. I still wish they cast Tomasz Kot as the villain, like Danny Boyle wanted, he would have been amazing in this role.

8/10

Hair

I watched this previously as a kid, but didn’t remember it well. The ending is the perfect metaphor for how unprepared American youth were for the Vietnam War. They take it very literally, preseting us with a shocking ending, as one of the characters cries as he boards the plane, to later meet a tragic end.

7/10

Luckiest Girl Alive

I was surprised to learn Jessica Knoll wrote the script, because the film was so much weaker than her book. Chiara Aurelia plays the younger version of Mila’s character and is just as amazing in this role as she was in Tell Me Your Secrets and Cruel Summer.

6/10

13: The Musical

Sometimes I wonder if anyone still remembers that Liz Gillies and Ariana Grande both got their start in the original 13. Graham Phillips, who later starred on The Good Wife, played Evan in the Broadway version. I love musicals, so naturally I still remembered the chorus to two songs from this one and didn’t hate this movie.

5/10

Glass Onion

Absolutely nothing happens in the first hour of this film, which is also significantly worse than the first one, with very average acting and characters who happen to be both extremely annoying and pretentious. The murder couldn’t be less original… and yet they are still making a third one of these somehow?

4/10

Don’t Worry Darling

Matthew Libatique sure knows how to film things prettily. His shots and Pugh’s acting save the show.

5/10

The Watcher

I watched this because Murphy cast Naomi Watts as one of the main characters, but I ended up loving almost every minute of it.

8/10

Halloween Ends

Not enough Laurie Strode or Michael Myers. And the new male lead was annoying.

5/10

Everything Everywhere All At Once

The self-harm aka the paper cut scene made me furious and there were some other things I didn’t like, but I sure enjoyed Michelle Yeoh’s acting.

Licorice Pizza

I have been a huge fan of Paul Thomas Anderson since I watched Magnolia 13 years ago, and I love every single feature film of his. I didn’t realise what good friends Anderson and the Haim sisters were until I watched this film. Licorice Pizza is a beautiful coming of age story about a young woman drifting between careers, struggling to find her place in the world, and a teenager hopelessly in love with her.

9/10

Spencer

My last discounted Showcase Cinemas ticket expires tomorrow and I decided to use it on Spencer, as it was the only good film my local Odeon wasn’t showing. The eating disorder portrayal was on point (even though it should have been researched more thoroughly), and so was the gay longing subplot, but the self-harm storyline needed more development. However, a middle aged lady behind me screamed during the self-harm scene, so even though it seemed very random, it clearly did a good job at scaring this lady. Also continuity wise, the wound wasn’t visible in the following scene, but her self-harm is later commented on by another character, so it wasn’t yet another thing she imagined. My favourite scene is the one when everyone, including the Queen stares at her not eating soup, before she devours it. I can’t say it was better that season 4 of The Crown, but it was a step up from Oliver Hirschbiegel’s Diana, even though I must say I preferred Naomi Watts as Lady Di over Kirsten Stewart. I loved her acting during the aforementioned dinner scene, and there was another scene I really liked her in that I can’t recall now, but overall I just couldn’t buy this portrayal. Speak remains my favourite film starring Stewart. I loved the book and that interpretation so much. I related to both a lot as a young teen.

For a better portrayal of bulimia, go see Sharing the Secret, for a better portrayal of self-harm go see Suicide Room or Sharp Objects.

7/10

King Richard

I’m glad I saw it at the movies, because I would not have paid as much attention to it as I did. It’s wonderful, and I cried at least three times. It was a bit too long though, 145 min is a lot. When I left the cinema at 11pm, the floor of the car park where I parked my car was empty and then out of nowhere some guy showed up and I overheard him say to someone on his phone that his girfriend is a bitch and he will punish her by fucking one of her friends. Well, good luck mate.

7/10

Scream

Scream has been my favourite horror franchise for over 20 years. I still remember the first time a kid version of me watched the first two films in the late 90s in an absolute awe of what was happening on screen. I was upset when I heard they were making a 5th one without Wes. Wes Craven was the heart of this series and my favourite director. I ended up writing my Extended Essay in my last year of high school on his work, because I just loved his movies that much. I struggled to get over his death for a long time as the original The Last House on the Left, The People Under the Stairs and Scream were some of my most favourite films. He was the one director I dreamed of working with one day, in whatever capacity. It took me until a second viewing to write this because I was too much of a mess to write anything last week. They dedicated this movie to Wes, and didn’t ruin the franchise like I was worried they would, so I’m thankful for that. And I must say this one is better than the third one, so that’s an accomplishment and my two favourite characters made it out alive and that counts for something too. I still think they should have named it Scream 5 though.

7/10

Suzhou River

I’m Polish, so naturally Bison Grass Vodka has always been my favourite drink. I think this nod to my culture is what helped me stay engaged with the story a bit more. I didn’t like the first twenty or so minutes of the film, but when they introduced Mardar’s story, I was intrigued. I’m not sure why absolutely all shots had to be handheld, surely only Meimei’s story could have been shot that way, but other than that, I did enjoy this film a lot.

8/10

Beijing Bicycle

I didn’t expect this to be as good as Bicycle Thieves, but I certainly expected more than this. At least the desperation was on point.

7/10

The Rescue

While I remember seeing pictures of the boys once they were first discovered, I did not know how gruelling and traumatising the process to get them out was. You can watch this intriguing National Geographic documentary on Disney+.

7/10

Country Strong

Just because it has Tim McGraw in it, doesn’t mean it’s ‘country strong’. Watch Nashville, the TV show instead.

4/10

Gwen Stefani: You Make It Feel Like Christmas

It’s a shame Secret Santa is only on the Deluxe version of the album, it’s been my favourite Christmas song since it came out. This album is all I listen to every December, especially the 9 original songs. I’ve been a fan of Gwen since her No Doubt days, so naturally I love this special and re-watch it every Christmas. My favourite part may still be how nervous Gwen looks when her youngest describes the family’s coolest Christmas tradition. Bless her. I don’t understand the random choice of most guests, apart from Blake and Chelsea that is, and I’m not exactly happy with whatever the backup dancers were doing half the time, but YMIFLC is a great Christmas album and this special is always a pleasure to re-visit.

Penguin Bloom

I miss living in Australia and I’m a huge fan of Naomi Watts, so any Aussie film she stars in is a special treat for me. Unfortunately, she’s been in a series of pretty bad films recently, apart from Luce, so this was a nice change. This film is directed by Glendyn Ivin, who also made the wonderful Last Ride twelve years ago. The real question is, was this story worth making into a film? No. But I’m glad they showed us how she got injured, I was worried they were going to skip it.

7/10

Allen v. Farrow

We have all been waiting for this documentary for about 30 years. In episode two we finally get to see the tapes Mia recorded of a 7 year old Dylan disclosing her sexual assault. The tapes’ existence Allen’s fans have disputed for all these years. Just imagine adopting 12 children out of your good heart and compassion and occidentally exposing them to a predator. One of the guests of episode three is Gloria Steinem, who recalls interviewing Paul Williams, a renowned child sex crimes investigator who worked on 800 cases of child sexual abuse before being handed Dylan Farrow’s case. Williams was fired and silenced after saying he believed Dylan. Case workers who interviewed Dylan at another facility (there were two trials, one in NY and one in Connecticut), destroyed all of their notes from their numerous interviews with 7 year old Farrow before the trial. That’s all you need to know about the show, I seriously recommend you check it out.

8/10

All the Bright Places

The teenage version of me would have loved this, I skipped so much more school than Finch because of depression. I wish there were group therapy meetings for teens where I grew up. My school was not equipped to handle my problems. Why did it take me this long to watch the one decent Netflix teen original?

6/10

Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cycil Hotel

The most shocking thing is the manager telling the filmmakers she was once showing a guest to their room and came across a police sniper haunting a serial killer. Why would you tell people you and your staff are so incompetent they didn’t even tell you a sniper walked into your hotel. I remember watching the CCTV footage back in 2013, but I didn’t think much of it and I never heard anything about how this case was resolved. This was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

6/10

To All the Boys Forever and Always

The final part of the To All The Boys trilogy features college acceptance stress and trips to Seoul and New York. The second film is mostly yellow colour graded, whereas the third one is almost entirely green. My family decided to rewatch the other parts too, and my dad, who hasn’t seen any of them before, said this series is refreshing, because the teens in it don’t have sex, do drugs, swear or get chased by serial killers. And I can’t argue that. Is it realistic? Probably not, but the series is sweet and innocent and I can see why it’s so appealing to young teens. I also may have liked this part the most.

6/10

Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga

I watched this with my parents and the fact that Polish Netflix got all of these actors to dub the dialogue instead of hiring a narrator, shows how big Eurovision is in Europe. I haven’t watched Eurovision since 2007 or so, simply because a teenage version of me thought it was lame. I still remember how happy I was when heavy metal band Lordi’s Hard Rock Hallelujah won in 2006. Some of Eurovision songs I still remember apart from the obvious, ABBA’s Waterloo, are Brotherhood of Man’s Save Your Kisses For Me, France Gall’s Poupee de Cire, Poipee de Son, Vanilla Ninja’s Cool Vibes and Wig Wam’s In My Dreams. Did I have to google some of these names, yes I did. This film is shockingly watchable, and the two failed performances are surprisingly funny. Also, how catchy is the Double Trouble song? It’s so typical of the early 2000s pop, it makes me nostalgic even though I’ve only heard this song today. I don’t usually like pop, but I’m adding it to my Spotify list for the month.

6/10

Where’d You Go Bernadette

Earlier this week I learned that I’m a victim of identity theft, so It’s been a tough couple of days. What a coincidence a film with a stolen identity plot is expiring from HBO Go this week. I picked up an A1 poster of this film from my local cinema in September 2019.

7/10

Catfight

This script is on crack and needs a real punch in the face. I also think if they haven’t invented a war, this had a potential to be rewatchable.

5/10

How To Deal

I have now seen all films Mandy Moore starred in as a teenager and young adult and this is the weakest one.

To The Stars

A bullied teenager befriends a new girl in town. The new girl is a mystery to everyone and likes to lie to everyone about herself and her family. She’s hiding a personal secret that is soon going to come out and change everything. My kind of screenplay. This is probably my favorite LGBT film of 2019. Time to update my Favourite films of the 2010s list.

10/10

Jack The Bear

Exactly what I needed today. The relationship between the two brothers is what’s running the film here. What happened to Miko Hughes’s career after the nineties? He was awesome in every single one of those kid roles he played including in Pet Sematary, Wes Craven’s New Nightmare, Mercury Rising, Full House and so many more. Jack the Bear must have been shelved for years, because the ages of child actors were at least 3 years off from how old their characters were, Reese Witherspoon would have been 16 in 1992, but looked 13 in the film, and Miko was 3.5 in the film, but would have been 6 in ’92.

7/10

Julia

A writer goes to meet her friend who was injured in the war many years ago, and whom she had a crush on as a little girl. I wish I realised she’s the writer of The Children’s Hour before she mentioned it an hour and a half into the film.

‘There are women who reach a perfect time of life when the face will never again be as good, the body never as graceful, powerful. It had happened that year to Julia.’

‘Act gay. Can you act gay?’

‘After all, the whole world knows about you and Julia.’
‘What does the whole world know, Sammy? What does the world know?’
‘Don’t be that way. I’m a sophisticated man. If anybody understands the sex urge of the adolescent girl, it’s me.’

8/10

the woman in the window unbreak deadly shor

The Woman in the Window

A film noir classic. This film was originally supposed to end with a suicide, but the studio said that would be too horrific, so we got this highly disappointing ending instead.

7/10

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs. the Reverend

It took me almost 3 hours to go through all possible scenarios and some of them were clearly better than others, for example how on Earth is my favourite character accidentally ending Times Up funny? There’s also a diss at Lori Loughlin and the USC scandal. I won’t miss this show that much, I’d rather re-watch 30 Rock.

7/10

Deadly Shores

Carly Schroeder’s last film before she retired from acting and joined the army. I loved Mean Creek as a kid, and I think her acting was better when she was younger. It’s been a month and I couldn’t possibly tell you how this movie ended, I know a young wife followed her writer husband to a property by the seaside, where his deceased wife lived, there she finds out he’s in love with someone else and is planning to get rid of her.

2.5/10

ophelia opoeye nothing in common

Ophelia

Let me guess, Naomi Watts refused to do this little adaptation unless they let her play two characters?

Fun fact, I once played Ophelia in a school play, back in 8th grade, I think? This took me back.

6/10

Popeye the Sailor and Sindbad the Sailor

Why this particular Popeye, Mubi? I grew up watching Full House, so whenever someone mentions Popeye or I see someone wearing a Popeye T-shirt, I automatically think of Joey Gladstone and his Popeye impression.

5.5/10

This is what Mad Men would be like if it was a comedy.

If you like a Netflix show or you feel you’d like it, you it’s crucial you watch the first two episodes the weekend the show comes out. Netflix checks statistics the following Monday. If you leave it for later, Netflix will take it as the show not being needed enough for people to drop everything and tune in. This is what happened to a few of Netflix shows, including the recent Girlboss.

Check out the new Naomi Watts Netflix series Gypsy. It’s another tv series Netflix has failed to advertise properly and it deserves your attention. I watched it all today and so good and addictive at the same time.

Quick reviews of some films I’ve seen around Christmas time.

Lianna

Everyone who liked Carol has to see this film. It’s a story about a teacher who has an affair with a married student. It’s so good, you will not want it to end.

8/10

Naomi And Ely’s No Kiss List

The problem with Netflix is it mainly has films you wouldn’t bother to see otherwise, like this title. It was too dramatic and self absorbed, and I wouldn’t recommend it. I had more fun watching that Halloween film with Victoria Justice called Fun Size than this.

3/10

Insurgent

Much worse than the first one, but I did like when Naomi Watts’s character shot Kate Winslet. I am still not a fan of this franchise, and honestly I only watched Divergent when I heard Naomi Watts was going to be in the second one, and I still waited half a year after it came out to watch.

2.5/10

The Search for Santa Paws

Cute and funny, perfect family Christmas film.I thought it would be really bad, but when it was leaving Netflix a month before Christmas, it was just the time to watch it, as I was just getting into my pre-Christmas spirit. The little girl’s singing and all the cuteness was a little too much for any sane adult person, but I understand we were not the targeted audience.

6/10

Santa Paws 2

The sequel is a mistake that should have never happened. The series (I heard there’s a third one!) tries to be Homeward Bound and it just never will. I was checking my instagram and twitter the whole film. I bet little kids would be disappointed too.

1/10

Mickey’s Twice Upon a Christmas

It gets Christmass-y over here. Another film that Netflix removed before Christmas, I didn’t get the chance to see that other Mickley and friends special. This one took me back to my childhood while I laughed like a crazy kid. After three month, I still remember the 2 stories that I liked, first, when Donald’s nephews wanted to get on the good kids list and  second, when Snoopy ruined Christmas. Definitely seeing that other one someday.

6.5/10

The Veil

If you’re looking for a film about a prophet or a cult, do yourself a favor, go see The Sacrament. I saw The Veil for Lily Rabe, and it the film was just awful. The Sacrament is a masterpiece, this is simply horrible.

2/10

Always Watching: A Marble Hornets Story

I don’t even remember this one, other that I really hated it. Don’t watch.

0.5/10

Welcome to ReviewThisFilm

This website started in 2010 as weekly reviews of movies and tv episodes, and a diary of the 700 new films I watched every year. Today it’s a place for me to write a few words on films and tv shows that leave some sort of impact on me. I no longer write in depth reviews, mostly thanks to bad habits gained by spending many hours a day on Letterboxd.

If you have a film you would like me to watch and review,  please leave a comment.

Enjoy!

About the Author

All I do is watch movies, the good, the bad and the ugly. Sometimes I make my own.

Check out my latest film (120K+ views on Youtube):

www.youtube.com/watch?v=WP3Iz23hD7M

I’ve seen over 6000 films and 220 TV shows. I have a degree in Film Production, and wrote my dissertation on Italian neorealism. I mostly gravitate towards social issues films, anything Ken Loach, Krzysztof Kieslowski, Roberto Rossellini, Vittorio De Sica or Jafar Panahi, etc.

I rate films within genre. I watch a lot of films on Mubi, Filmbox Arthouse. My favourite directors are Yasujiro Ozu, Ken Loach, Krzysztof Kieslowski, Zhang Yimou, Roberto Rossellini, Ingmar Bergman, Brian De Palma, Vittorio De Sica and Andrzej Wajda. My favourite actresses have always been Jodie Foster, Sally Field and Julianne Moore. I’m nostalgic and reminisce a lot. I’m at the cinema 10 times a month. And I’m a Polish-British millennial.

I will watch anything:

psychological | arthouse | foreign | independent | drama | horror | lgbt | strong female characters | female centred films | dysfunctional families | sexual assault | troubled childhood | mental health issues

About me

I am the dark and twisty Meredith Grey, the mad Dexter Morgan, hoping to grow up to be a little more like the wise, but fun Nora Walker. I am an aspiring filmmaker. My favorite actresses are Jodie Foster, Sally Field and Julianne Moore. Favorite genre – psychological drama. I watch anything with a sexual or mental abuse plot. I used to be a horror freak. I am obsessed with Grey’s Anatomy, SVU and many more. My other interests include making oil and pencil portraits and wildlife conservation. I cannot say no to beautiful landscapes, travel, Aussie accent, TV/film quotes and avocados. I have recently moved back from Australia to the UK. I’ve been running this blog for the last 9 years. Here I comment on films and episodes I watch. Enjoy! – Joanne

favourite film and tv quotes

‘When I lived in Porpoise Spit, I used to sit in my room for hours and listen to ABBA songs. But since I’ve met you and moved to Sydney, I haven’t listened to one Abba song. That’s because my life is as good as an Abba song. It’s as good as Dancing Queen.’ (Muriel’s Wedding)

‘I used to think about
your life in New York. I tried to imagine your room. I kept track of the time difference, so I  knew when you were awake and when you were asleep.’ (Disobedience)

‘Nothing’s clean, Howard. But we do our best, right?’ (The Aviator)

‘No, I’m not quitting. I don’t quit things.’
‘No, actually you do. Your mother quit your father. Your father quit you. You quit your boyfriend and if I read your hospital chart correctly you quit your life momentarily on a couple of occasions. You quit. It’s what you know how to do.’ (Greys)

‘Where the hell was I that year?’
‘Your were watching television’. (Everybody Loves Raymond)

‘It’s impossible to worry about anything else when there’s blood coming out of you.’
(Short Term 12)

‘I wanted it to happen. And when we were girls… Even then, it was the same. It’s always been this way! I have always wanted it.’ (Disobedience)

‘Sometimes it’s easy, sometimes you play games in your head. You make up someone, someone good.’ (Greys)

‘There comes a moment when our lives change forever. The moment we admit our weaknesses, the moment we rise to a challenge, the moment we accept a sacrifice, or let a loved one go. And sometimes the change in our lives is an answer to our prayers.’ (Desperate Housewives)

‘Yesterday I went to the movies all day by myself. One after the other. I’ve never done that before. I had a really happy day.’ (Doing Time for Patsy Cline)

‘I just need something to happen. I need a sign that things are going to change. I need a reason to go on. I need some hope. And in the absence of hope, I need to stay in bed a feel like I might die today.’ (Greys)

‘She saved me my whole life. Without her, I’m nothing.’ (The Favourite)

‘Don’t wonder why people go crazy. Wonder why they don’t. In face of what we can lose in a day, in an instant, wonder what the hell it is that make us hold it together.’  (Greys)

‘Bree sobbed quietly in the restroom for five miutes, but her husband never knew, because when Bree finally emerged, she was perfect.’ (Desperate Housewives)

‘I am not food, you cannot just eat and eat.’ (The Favourite)

‘I don’t love him.’
‘Of course you do.’
‘No!’
‘Don’t take me for a fool Olive,  I’m many things but I’m not a fool.’
‘I know that, you’re brilliant.’
‘Don’t you see, it’s over. Whatever this is, was, it’s over.’
‘I love You.’ (Professor Marston and the Wonder Women)

‘At the end of the day, the fact that we have the courage to still be standing, is reason enough to celebrate.’ (Greys)

‘Many years ago, a neighbour and a good friend of ours took her life, and that left us all heartbroken and perplexed. But somehow, when I was alone in that hotel room, I forget about all the pain that she caused. In those awful moments, I thought maybe she had the answer.‘ (Desperate Housewives)

‘What happened last year when you fell in the water?’
‘I almost drowned. Do you think I did that for kicks?’
‘You put your hand in a body cavity that contained unexploded ammunition.’
‘I was trying to save a patient!’
‘Why is it that every other person in that room had the sense to hit the deck? You know people run away from this line between life and death. You seem to stand on it and wait for a strong wind to sway you one way or the other. You’re careless with your life. You’re not slitting your wrists but you’re careless. Probably because your mother told you you were a waste of space on this planet. The problem is you believed her. And if you don’t want out one of these days you’re going to die because of it.’  (Greys)

‘This is the street where I used to live and these were the people with whom I shared my life. I met them the day they moved in. And I saw what they brought with them. Beautiful dreams for the future. And quiet hopes for a better life. Not just for themselves, but for their children, too. If I could, would I tell them what lies ahead? Would I warn them of the sorrow and betrayal that lie in store? No. From where I stand now, I see enough of the road to understand how it must be traveled. The trick is to keep moving forward, to let go of the fear and the regret that slow us down and keep us from enjoying a journey that will be over too soon. Yes, there will be unexpected bends in the road, shocking surprises we didn’t see coming, but that’s really the point. Don’t you think?’ (Desperate Housewives)

‘Was your life not working when you let that slip out from under you?’
‘When are you going to stop suggesting that I’m suicidal?’
‘When you start acting like someone that wants to be alive.’
‘Give me my chart.’
‘Why?’
‘Because I’m not suicidal, and if it says that I am, then it’s wrong.’ (Greys)

‘There is nothing wrong with me.’
‘Then show me your arm.’ (Degrassi)

‘Look, my whole life, I have been the freak. The girl who nobody picked for dodgeball. The girl who didn’t have a mom. The girl who dressed funny because it was her dad buying her clothes. And then, tonight I looked at these people, and I thought maybe there’s a future where I don’t have to be a freak. Maybe I can be who I am and that’s okay.’ (Everything Sucks)

‘Dr, I have been this way since…since I can remember. There is no cure.’ (American Horror Story)

‘He was so crazy about me, I couldn’t breathe. So we tried drinking our way back into love, but it never made sense in the morning. So I ran. And every time I came back, he was here. And he was still crazy about me.’ (My Blueberry Nights)

‘Bree van de Kamp had always wanted to live her life with elegance and grace. That is also how she wanted to die. Her plan was to pour herself a glass of her favorite chardonnay, put on her most stylish nightgown and leave behind a note on embossed stationery.’ (Desperate Housewives)

‘All we have is this moment. The future is just a fucking concept that we use to avoid being alive today. So be… here…. now.’ (Six Feet Under)

‘On the train coming here, we were in the same cart, I saw you, you were reading and you feel asleep. I didn’t dare to look at you, you were so beautiful, it was scary. Afterwards,  I couldn’t stop thinking about you. It made me smile. Then I thought of all the men who would get to hold you, who’d make you laugh. How lucky they were.’ (Enemy at the Gates)

‘It was a good day. Maybe even a great day. Even when it was hard, I was the me in my head. There was a moment when I thought I cant do this, I cant do this alone. I close my eyes and imagine myself doing it, and I did, I blocked out the fear, and I did it.’ (Greys)

‘There comes a time when we must expose our weaknesses. When our secrets can no longer remain private, when our solitude can no longer be denied, when our pain can no longer be ignored, but sometimes we feel so alone that a weakness we thought we’d overcome suddenly becomes too strong to fight.’ (Desperate Housewives)

‘Why did you get married, Esti? Why didn’t you just leave? So everything was all right when I left?’
‘No. I was ill.’
‘What sort of ill?’
‘In my head.’
‘If I had to sleep with a man, why not with our best friend?’
‘Oh, Esti…’
‘It hasn’t been a complete disaster.’
‘And that’s enough?! Do you have to have sex every Friday?’
‘It’s expected.’
‘It’s medieval. What happened to you?’
‘Nothing. You happened to me. And then I started teaching and that became important. I give them ambition.’
‘To do what? Push out seven babies and be a good wife?’
‘Don’t. Don’t. I help them to value themselves.’
‘Okay, but what about you?’
‘That is me. And you? Are you happy?’
‘Yes, I am.’
‘Have you been with other women?’
‘No. Not really. And you?’
‘No.’
‘But, Esti… Do you still
only fancy women?’ (Disobedience)

‘OK, then, listen. Let’s not get caught.’
‘What are you talkin’ about?’
‘Let’s keep goin’!’
‘What d’you mean?’
‘Go.’
‘You sure?’
‘Yeah. Yeah.’ (Thelma & Louise)

‘She let me live at Nora’s house. She let me believe that I was a part of their family. I fell in love with that family. What am I supposed to do, just sit there, pretend I’m related to them? I was happy. For the first time in my life I was happy.’ (Brothers and Sisters)

‘You will be left all alone with your bitterness and your rage and your knowledge that you loved her and she loved you and you threw it away for them.’
‘Do you love her?’
‘Yes.’
‘And Have you always?’
‘Yes.’
‘So then ask her.’
‘Olive, will you forgive me?’ (Professor Marston and the Wonder Women)

‘No razors, no scissors, no fucking freedom.’
(Short Term 12)

‘You can’t take a picture of this. It’s already gone.’ (Six Feet Under)
