Howards End. The Bridges of Madison County. Ironweed. Inside Daisy Clover. Eastern Promises. Out of Africa. The Last Picture Show. All is Lost. Deliverance. Timepiece. Silkwood. The French Lieutenant’s Woman. Non-Stop. The Assassination of Richard Nixon. Acceptance. Fireflies in the Garden. The Ladies Club. Vacancy.

Howards End

Emma Thompson’s acting is always so profound and the film is excellent. Helena Bonham Carter and Anthony Hopkins accompany her just as good. The book is a must read.

10/10

The Bridges of Madison County

Just a love story, but what a good story it is. The scene where Meryl’s character  sees Clint’s character from her truck and knows she chose wrong and falls apart in the car and her husband is irritated with her having a meltdown, a beautifully heartbreaking scene. Fits every relationship where one simple got away. Clint does a spectacular job as a director.

10/10

Ironweed

They sure seemed very homeless. I bought it at once, the plot was all I needed and Jack and Meryl were unrecognizable. One of my favorite scene was followed by my OCD kicking in when she washed her hand in holy water, absolute perfection. This is exactly why we should not go to churches.

10/10

Inside Daisy Clover

Too teen for my taste, but it has Natalie Wood and Robert Redford in it. Although the scene where she burns down the house is a masterpiece.

6/10

Eastern Promises

I did not like it as much as I thought I would. For me it was just another Russian mafia movie, just more intriguing and has Naomi Watts in it.

You were not in fucking KGB!

6/10

Out of Africa

One of the best films ever made. What a story, the film just as good as the biography. Meryl’s Norwegian accent leaves us in awe.

10/10

The Last Picture Show

It was amazing, my favorite role of Cybil Shepherd. Oh how her character messed with boys’ minds. And how losing virginity was so important, we had to witness the nasty but in a sense relatable pool table scene, when she seduces her mother’s boyfriend. God, I just got distracted thinking of The Accused, but nothing beats The Accused. One of the best coming of age films.

9/10

All is Lost

When I heard this film was being made, I was ecstatic. Robert is finally back from his retirement/doing crappy films and it is good. Just enough symbolism in my mind to get me going. Still trying to figure out what the shoe container meant.

10/10

Deliverance

Watched it again, as I can never skip it. One of my favorite films. The rape scene leaves the viewer exhausted and angry at the world, which is just as it should be. This is exactly how low budget films should go. Watch to see excellent acting from the main four Burt Reynolds, Ned Beatty, Ronny Cox and John Voight.

10/10

Timepiece

It sure had it’s atmosphere. A lovely drama, very good for Christmas.

5/10

Silkwood

Favorite Meryl Streep film and one of the best films ever made. Every single scene is breathtaking, what a heroine Karen Silkwood was. A very realistic presentation of working at a power plant/factory. Exactly the conditions you would expect in a radioactive environment. Plus Cher kills it.

10/10

The French Lieutenant’s Woman

One of the very few Meryl Streep films that I just don’t get what the buzz is about.

6/10

Non-Stop

It was all I hoped it would be. All I need is seeing my favorite actors doing everyday life things. Seeing Julianne Moore and Liam Neeson flying in economic class, sleeping on the plane and generally behaving like every other person was extremely entertaining. One of my most favorite thrillers of this century. I even stopped comparing it to Flight Plan, which is just the most addictive film for me along with Panic Room. Non Stop will be played non-stop at my house the minute I buy it on Blu-Ray.

10/10

The Assassination of Richard Nixon

Lacked something, but the failed assassination and the motive of Sean Penn’s character make it worth watching. For me personally the film just needed more Naomi Watts.

6/10

Acceptance

A disappointment, but Joan Cusack kept it funny. A very light view on college admission process, a satisfying ending.

3/10

Fireflies in the Garden

Eight months after watching it and I cannot tell you much about it. That’s how unmemorable it was. All I can tell you is that Julia Roberts played a deceased mother and there were some flashbacks. Just an average drama.

5/10

The Ladies Club

Excellent take on rape and revenge genre. Extremely underrated.

6/10

Vacancy

Lacking something, but in the end good enough.

Greys 10.23. Greys 10.24. SVU 15.22. SVU 15.23. Revenge 3.21

Barely, and with many obstacles, I have survived the last two weeks of finales, and most importantly,  the cancellation week. Suburgatory cancellation came with a shock and a bit of sadness, as I am forced to say goodbye to a show that brought me many laughs for three, thoughest years of my life. It was a great companion on my journey to adulthood and a great relief for a tense week. I am going to miss it dearly, definitely the most of all the shows that ended this year. Surviving Jack was the second of my shows that recieved bad news that awful and stressful week, after airing just seven episode. Till this week I was certain there was going to be eight episodes as was reported earlier in the year and I fully pushed the signs away as the official instagram account was telling for three or so weeks that episode seven was to be the absolute finale. It was a sweet show, and I will miss seeing Chris Meloni on my screen, it is a shame I have to say goodbye to him yet again. The third show that was taken away from me was one of the very last teen shows I watch, The Carrie Diaries. It came as a surprise, and to quote myself and my first reaction ‘I thought the whole point of watching teen shows is that they never end, hint Pretty Little Liars’, and truly, what is so great about teen shows is that we do not pay much attention to them, they are there when we come home from a twelve hour shift and manage to ease the pain and aftermath of work related confrontations. That is why I will have a teen show as a back up show on my list for at least couple of years I think, till I settle in as a person and learn to fully grow up, shame one of these shows will not be The Carrie Diaries. I will not know what happened to Carrie and how she met Charlotte,  unless, of course, I read the book. I am relieved I am only losing three shows this year, last year, none of my shows got cancelled but three of my absolute favorite ended, I am speaking of Private Practice,  Dexter and The Big C, of course. Nashville got a third season, even though we all sweated about its fate for a couple of weeks. I am extremely furious that the next year will be Cougar Town’s last season. I love this show and it has been with me for five years and it helped me in many ways, it entertained me and brought hope and light to my life. Greys, SVU, Revenge and Castle,  I could not be more proud and ecstatic to have you with me for at least one more year.

Greys 10.23

Great first part of the finale and ‘I’ve gained 8 pounds this week’ is the most relevant description of my anxiety about Cristina leaving. I loved how graciously Leah took the news, she knew she would not be a surgeon. Stephanie did some good for the very first time, and if we are to be stuck with her for the next couple of years, all I can say is finally. ‘I chose not to honor their wished’ reminded me of Pete in Private Practice or should I say Cooper. Derek being a selfish bastard that he apparently is and Owen begging Cristina to stay. I am very happy about Amelia possibly staying. Last words of wisdom for this episode ‘Give them the poop diary’.

10/10

Greys 10.24

I have not cried this much since the plane crash. The whole weekend I was replaying the ‘let’s dance it out’ and ‘what do you need I love you or something? I love you’ scenes in my head. I am exhausted from crying for so many hours and cannot get enough sleep. It was a beautiful exit, I loved how they finished Cristina’s storyline, but also hers with Meredith and hers with Owen. Ross going with her, and Leah coming in for the last time, all great. Ellis Grey giving up a child she had with Webber for adoption shocked me to the bones.

10/10

SVU 15.22

SVU managed to join Allen and Polanski’s cases and make a brilliant episode.

10/10

SVU 15.23

After three years with Amaro, I still do not like him, great episode, Josh Malina guest stars.

9.5/10

Revenge 3.21

Shocking and so revealing.  Conrad is finally in jail and Emily was the one who kidnapped Charlotte. The way Conrad confessed to his sins was one of my favorite scenes of any show this year.

10/10

Greys 10.22. SVU 15.21. Revenge 3.20. Nashville 2.20. Bates Motel 2.09. Surviving Jack 1.06. Castle 6.21. Suburgatory 3.11

Before I share my thoughts on this weeks episodes, I want to talk about some of this years shows in general and explain why i wasn’t around every week. Let me just start off by saying, I finally found a job I like, but my rota has been insane. Since March 3rd I have had 4 days off and I have 12 h shift.  I barely find time to watch anything, but my shows. I cannot use my phone at my desk, so i did not have time to update anything. Since I’m at home barely 8h a day, and in march exactly 4h a day, I stopped rewriting my notes on the shows. Why am I back now, not in a month then? Next friday we’ll know which shows get renewed and which ones we’re gonna have to say goodbye to, I wanted to write some very brief reviews a couple more times this year, in case Nashville gets cancelled. It’s a great show and I wish I started it last year, but even though we all struggled with Teddy’s storyline, It’s been 6 amazing months filled with many memorable songs. I hope it gets a third season and I am sad they cannot cut it to 13 episodes, like they did with Suburgatory, which has a million more viewers than last year and is doing so fine, by the way, but Nashville is not a 21 min comedy the network can take a risk with and put it wherever they find space. It’s a show that already struggled last year and desperately needed people to watch it this season. I really hope ABC gives the singing drama another chance and does not send so many talented people home. Fingers crossed! I also started watching Surviving Jack, but the ratings are plain low, and I no longer see a chance of NBC renewing it, which is ridiculous, as the show and Chris Meloni are funny and brilliant. This month I tried to start so many shows I have put off for years and none of them spoke to me, which means, for the first time in years I will have no shows to start in summer. I am a little disappointed,  but happy as I think of all the films I will see. And last, but the most important, I am starting to get really depressed about Sandra Oh leaving Greys, it’s all I can think about. I rewind all the twisted sisters scenes from 10 years in my head and cannot imagine my life without Cristina Yang. I grew up with these characters. It’s my show, it’s my everything. I am not ready to say goodbye. I will keep my fingers crossed for all the shows I watch to survive this terrifying week, but now, let’s move on to this week’s episodes.

Greys 10.22

All I have in my notes is ‘You’re leaving.’, which tells all about this episode. The chocolates that Cristina did remember about, the moment in which Meredith realized her best friend is leaving, will forever be stuck in my mind. I was extremely excited and emotional about Burke being back after 7 years, but I did not see him as Cristina’s biggest love. Imagine my surprise when the story went into a completely different direction. When Burke was saying that he finally understands that one person has to stay home with the kids and its okay to love someone who does not want surgical greatness, I thought of Owen and that him and Cristina could work if he stayed home and let Cristina do her thing, but then again, he dumped his girlfriend when she was saying the exact same thing, so there is no hope left for Crowen. Richard is so right to fight the foundation, but it was nice to Kepner standing up to someone for once. I do want to see Amelia in Seattle permanently, even though I want her to stay with Addie and the gang in LA and for her to be safe and sound and avoid any future disaster that Shonda’s already plotting. Which intern is getting kicked out and which one is dying in the terrorist attack? Leah’s out, Ross dies.

10/10

SVU 15.21

Oh the aftermath. It was all I thought it would be. When Liv said ‘I told him to rape me.’ to IAB and described why she chose not to resist, I felt so proud of her and couldn’t calm myself down. Despite everything that has happened to her, she found the strengthand pace to tell the truth. Captain Lewis earned more respect from fans in one episode than Cragen did in 15.5 years. Everyone making the case even worse for Olivia, even the little girl Liv saved, bug Captain Lewis.

Revenge 3.20

Another spectacular episode of this amazing show. Conrad pushed Pascall preventing Victoria’s happiness once again. Victoria all miserable calling the number finding out it was fake and probably linking it to Emily. Why the heck didn’t she change the name completely? Did she really have to use Rebecca? Victoria has her figured out now and I cannot wait for the moment she discovers the final piece of truth. Charlotte getting kidnapped? By all means take her, she is the most useless and most fake character this show had, even Ashley was more bearable.

‘Am I supposed to believe my father tripped and fell?’

10/10

Nashville 2.20

Between Juliette being the taxi service and Rayna being the only ond to calm Scarlet down, we had Deacon saying sure we do drugs and booze, it’s a real party’, 3 songs, Gunnar writing a song about Scarlet, miss Claybourne dropping out of Rayna’s label, because she hated the pressure of being famous, and many more, and I’m asking how come more people don’t watch yhis amazing show? Also, no Teddy in this episode, but unfortunately, no Stella sisters either.

10/10

Bates Motel 2.09

The show is not doing as good as the first season as I bet no one cares about the drugs trade and Norma trying to fight the road, and Norman drinking with some skanky friend. But what this episode had was Norman remembering killing the teacher and most importantly hearing his mother telling him to. Norma fully trusting the cop, that she’s eventually gonna end up with, amazing, but can we just get rid of the whiny Emma and everyone drug trade related but Dylan.

10/10

Surviving Jack 1.06

It’s a fun show and this was another fabulous episode. Rachel answering to Jack’s question about making herself more attractive to college admissions  ‘Good, I lost 3 pounds and got highlights’ and signing up for wrestling and Joanne calling varsity guys ‘stupid weiners’ hilarious.

‘It was pretty damn funny.’

10/10

Castle 6.21

It was mainly good because Esposito and Ryan were trying to get chosen as Castle’s first man, but he chose Alexis over them. Other than that I do vaguely remember the strip poker and Kate beating Castle in scrabble. Other than that? Another case I don’t remember the moment I turn the episode off. Ryan and Esposito earned 6 out of the 9 points I gave this episode.

9/10

Suburgatory 3.11

Tessa talking about her extra curricular activities that would not really count in any college admissions office and saving herself, mostly and Dalia talking about her various hobbies that have nothing to do with school, hilarious. Great episode,  like I said the show is doing so well, if only George and Dallas got back together already.

8/10

The Way We Were. The Electric Horseman. An Unfinished Life. Ordinary People. Educating Rita.

How screwed up my life is right now if I cannot find time to post a few sentences on films I watch. I hate quoting films without writing reviews. I hate that the 12 hour shifts and lack of time forbids me from something that brings me so much pleasure. God, you used to want to do it for a living remember? I need to go back to uni or all my brains and talent will dry up. Don’t mind my background story, I’ll just get on with it.

The Way We Were

What a classic. In my opinion, Barbra Streisand’s best. The script was written by a genius, the story compelling and believable for the times it was set in.  If you ever could not make the relationship work, even though you loved someone very much, The Way We Were is perfect for you. But what beats the romantic aspects of this film is the history. American films that get all the communism and WWII facts right, instead of portraying the Vietnam War over and over, are magical. And if you miss the reluctant and easy high school years when you had no real troubles or have just recently transitioned to adulthood, you will be reminiscing those days along with going on and on about how good this film is. We all knew girls like Katie, ambitious themselves sure, but at the same dating bad boys and hoping they’d change them, convince them how enough they really are, but as a result, pushing too hard, making them feel like they expect too much of them, and pushing them away.Just off the top of my head, and because I just rewatched the whole series, remember how many times was this film mentioned in Gilmore Girls? If I remember right, I counted three times. The scene when Lorelai goes all Katie on look and calls him hours after he broke up with her and gives him a synopsis of Katie and Hubba’s storyline? I love how clingy and over dramatic this scene is.

I don’t have the right style for you do I?
No you don’t have the right style.
I’ll change.
No, don’t change. You’re your own girl, you have your own style.
But then I won’t have you. Why can’t I have you?
Because you push too hard, every damn minute. There’s no time to ever relax and enjoy living. Every things too serious to be so serious.
If I push too hard it’s because I want things to be better, I want us to be better, I want you to be better. Sure I make waves you have I mean you have to. And I’ll keep making them till your everything you should be and will be. You’ll never find anyone as good for you as I am, to believe in you as much as I do or to love you as much.
I know that.
Well then why?
Do you think if I come back its going to be okay by magic? What’s going to change? What’s going to be different? We’ll both be wrong, we’ll both lose.
Couldn’t we both win?

Maybe something terrible will happen – maybe you’ll have a good time.

Wouldn’t it be lovely if we were old? We’d have survived all this. Everything would be easy and uncomplicated. The way it was when we were young.
Katie, it was never uncomplicated.

10/10

The Electric Horseman

Nicely surprised, I thought it would be just a 60s styled romance, but it was so much more than that. One of both Jane Fonda and Robert Redford’s lightest movies, but still a great watch. Jane plays a slightly annoying reporter, the piece has some thrilling moments as they run from the world and what’s even more appealing, the beautiful scenery. It would never make it this big in 2000s, thankfully It’s the 70s and every film is original and just excellent.

Mr. Steele, why were you 45 minutes late to the press conference? Well, I’d like to apologise for that. I was giving mouth to mouth resuscitation to a bottle of tequila. And, we lost her too.

10/10

An Unfinished Life

One of some best cowboy thrillers of 2000s. Oh the small town based movies where people work at their ranches or at home and face troubles like avenging a bear. Where the police will not come running when Robert Redford beats the crap out of a guy. Morgan Freeman can just sit in the same place the entire movie, and it will not stop him from acing the role. It’s such a shame the little girl who played a cutter on Greys back in season two, did not choose to pursue acting career, because her fresh talent in An Unfinished Life is just on point.

You think the dead really care about our lives?
Yeah, I think they do. I think they forgive us our sins. I even think it’s easy for them.
Griff said you had a dream about flying. Yeah. I got so high, Einar, I could see where the blue turns black. From up there, you could see all there is. And it looked like there was a reason for everything.

You’ve seen too many westerns old man.
That doesn’t exactly work in your favor.

8/10

Ordinary People

As a person who has now seen a couple dozen films on suicide and depression, Ordinary People, lacked something. It feels embarrassing to say it, because It’s Robert Redford’s directional debut and he does a great job. Donald Sutherland did not disappoint either. It’s still great, the Academy Award for best picture rightfully deserved, but something’s missing. I will definitely rewatch it in a few years to figure out what is it that I do not get and find the book. This is going to bug me for months.

Did it hurt?
I don’t remember, really.
You don’t want to talk about it.
I’ve never really talked about it. To doctors. But, not to anyone else. You’re the first who’s asked.
Why did you do it?
Uh… I don’t know. It was like… falling into a hole. It keeps getting bigger and bigger and you can’t escape. All of a sudden, it’s inside… and you’re the hole. You’re trapped. And it’s all over. Something like that. It’s not really scary… except when you think back on it. ‘Cause you know what you were feeling…

9/10

Educating Rita

And to think Educating Rita is on many British students’ reading list in high schools, some genius must have thought of that. Julie Walters’ performance left me speechless and so did the script. It’s an exceptional film, I can just imagine how good Julie must have portrayed Rita on stage. I was looking so long for this film, and the wait was definitely worth the time. Michael Caine intrigues the viewer with how easily this character comes to him.

Christ! My customer! She only come in for a demi-wave, she’ll come out looking like a flippin’ muppet!

Doctor Bryant, I don’t think you’re listening to me.
Mr Collins, I don’t think you’re saying anything to me.

Doctor, are you drunk?
Drunk? Of course I’m drunk. You don’t really expect me to teach this when I’m sober.

Why?
Darling, why not?
Oh, Trish, don’t. Come on, it’s all right, don’t cry. You’re still here.
That’s why I’m crying – it didn’t work. It didn’t bloody work.
Trish. Look, you didn’t really mean to kill yourself. You were just…
Just what, darling? Poor Susan. You think you’ve got everything, don’t you?
Trish, you have.
Oh yes. When I listen to poetry and music, then I can live. You see, darling, the rest of the time it’s just me. And that’s not enough.

Yes, well, apparently you were a little… drunk at your tutorial today.
No.
No?
No. I was a lot drunk.
Oh, Frank, why do you do it? When you’ve got… well, what haven’t you got?
A drink at the moment.

Found a culture, have you Rita? Found a better song to sing? No, you found a different song to sing, and on your lips it’s shrill and hollow and tuneless.

10/10

I’ll try to review some films tomorrow. Have a nice Wednesday!

Greys 10.13. SVU 15.15. Shameless 4.06. Shameless 4.07. Castle 6.15. Castle 6.16. Nashville 2.16. Cougar Town 5.06. Cougar Town 5.07. Suburgatory 3.06. Scandal 3.11. Switched at Birth 3.05. Switched at Birth 3.06. Chicago PD 1.06. Pretty Little Liars 4.20. Pretty Little Liars 4.21

Greys 10.13

I am so happy my favorite show is finally back from hiatus and in such a big greys style. The way Meredith hugged Alex saying ‘Alex, please, please’, best scene of the season. No relationships with coworkers? Shonda you’re ten years late with this rule. Warren filled the ibtern spot for Heather, I am so happy for him, I don’t know why I haven’t thought of it. When it comes to me, they could get ridbof all the interns, maybe not Jo, but it’s not just Leah thats annoying and whiny, they all are. April chose Jackson, and that last scene, that’s all, thank you.

10/10

SVU 15.15

Every episode of SVU feels so fresh lately. Another excellent case. Laura Slade Wiggins played the victim. I miss Karen Jackson.

10/10

Shameless 4.06

One of the best episodes of the show.

10/10

Shameless 4.07

Wow, no government job? Fiona you are screwed. I am so happy Lip is still doing his studies and that he wants to finish college. Mandy in that squirrel hat. Ian sleeping for money and Deb cutting herself and going all ‘fuck’, because a guy 7 years her prior wouldn’t sleep with her. Frank getting again kickedboutbof the house, amazing episode.

10/10

Castle 6.15

It’s real life Carrie! Castle and Kate dancing to In My Veins.

10/10

Castle 6.16

Alexis finally realizing she was stupid and finally acting responsibly. Even though her situation is the exact opposite of mine, and I could relate to her moving out at the age of 19, I love that she moved back in, this gives me hope. Weird case which was simply better when I didn’t know how it turned out, it was so fun when they all confessed to murder and Castle was all ‘this case is fantastic and not so boring after all’.

10/10

Suburgatory 3.06

Tessa joins a cult, whatever. Tanning senior class? So Chatswin and so amazing, was waiting for it since the trailer for season 3 was realised. I just hope it’s just not a one time thing. Dallas and George have to get back together. And Noah being all anger free and bursting at the end, hilarious.

7.5/10

Nashville 2.16

What a fabulous episode. I just love when everyone is singing and an episode has at least three songs. I cried when Glenn was quitting, oh this scene was so painful. Rayna losing it at the end.

10/10

Cougar Town 5.06

This may be Cougar Town’s best season.

10/10

Cougar Town 5.07

Another fantastic episode.

10/10

Scandal 3.11

Paul Adelstein is doing so good, I couldn’t be more proud. Everytime I want to quit this show, it gets good.

10/10

Switched at Birth 3.05

8.5/10

Switched at Birth 3.06

10/10

Chicago PD 1.06

I will not watch it, even though Voight has such an amazing tone of voice I couldn’t focus on anything else. The SVU crossover good, but nothing special.

9/10

Pretty Little Liars 4.20

Probably the best episode.

10/10

Pretty Little Liars 4.21

Teen show currently at its best.

10/10

The Good Student. I Know What You Did Last Smmer. Flirting. Helter Skelter. The Crush. Unlawful Entry. Helter Skelter. Can’t Buy Me Love. The Babysitter. The Crush. The Simpsons : The Longest Daycare. Frozen. Monsters, inc. Toy Story 3. Dear Dumb Diary. Lipstick.

The Good Student

Now when I think of it, I have seen it before. It was just as bad as the first time I watched it.

2/10

I Know What You Did Last Summer

Was I postponing watching this one or what? More like avoiding it. The only film that was on UK tv during that night shift I did once at that one place. It was either this or Glee. I remember rewatching Revenge two times, same episode, two channels. It-s just like Final Destinations, we know they are all gonna die, though here they did not.

3/10

Flirting

Good Australian drama avout coming of age and insides of a boarding school featuring young Noami Watts and Nicole Kidman.

6/10

Unlawful Entry

Oh the thrillers of the 90s. This one has Madeleine Stowe and is obsessive and awesome.

7/10

Can’t Buy Me Love

Simply amazing. One of the teen 80s films everyone has to see.

8/10

The Babysitter

Very average.

3/10

The Crush

An amazing thriller, I was not expecting for it to be this good. My favorite Alicia Silverstone film after Clueless.

I’ll tell ya, if you were ten years older…
You’d what?

I mean, let’s face it, you’re fourteen, I’m twenty-eight. That’s a big difference.
Whatever you say.
Seriously, Adrian. I want you to know, you can count on me. I’ll always be your friend, no matter what. Okay? Okay.
Like the night up at the lighthouse when we kissed?
Now, that was a mistake, Adrian.
Was sneaking in to watch me undress a mistake, too? Hmm? Nick, ever do a virgin?
What?
I know you want to.
Now, look! Let’s avoid any confusion here! I’m gonna make this very simple for you. You’re – You’re too young for me. There’s nothing between us.

You wanna do her, too, is that it? I’m not good enough for you? I came back here for you, Nick. My parents tried to take me away, but I fooled them. I came back here for you, and I found you with my best friend. I still love you, Nick!

I got my period.

8/10

The Simpsons : The Longest Daycare

An amazing short film from The Simpsons. Over the 25 seasons we have never seen Maggie at daycare. We don’t know much about the youngest Simpson. Maggie’s a precious little thing and there’s a scene at the very end that might have left me speechless, which seems fitting, as the film is mute. Completely deserved that Oscar nomination.

8/10

Frozen

An excellent animation, great songs, lovely characters.

7/10

Monsters, inc

I loved it so much when it came out, watched it, as I was rewatching Monsters University for the fourth time, and wanted to fill sin some blanks. Monsters, inc it’s a great entertainment for the whole family, but not as good as Monsters University.

8/10

Toy Story 3

I don’t remember much from the first one. And I have never seen a sequel, but this one? Cried at the end. Why would you give your childhood toy away?

7/10

Dear Dumb Diary

Incredible film for pre teens! I just love the book series. I honestly have them all and still buy when they come out. And I’m twenty. Adored the soundtrack, and no one is going to outhrow Emily Alyn Lind from the number one favorite child actress spot for me. She’s gonna have to outgrown it. Favorite song? Definitely Dear Future Jamie. The day she thought her Diary was stolen, the fear and panic, followed by a candy binge, everything a 13 year old fears, was shown so incredibly. I guess we’ll never know why little girls pay attention to everything and care too much about what everyone says. I know this too well, and If I saw this film when I was thirteen, I think a certain thing in my life would not have happened, and I would remain a jolly person, just like Jamie. I absolutely loved how she handled it with a song, actually believing this won’t matter in a few years. I have barely read the Dear Dumb Diary Books, but this was an amazing adaptation. I was exactly like Jamie, always in my imagination, super creative, having long conversations with myself (hello, Lizzie McGuire), always with a musical number in my head. Not much has changed.

‘Dear future Jamie, it’s me, I mean it’s you, only younger
Do you remember how complicated life used to be when everything seemed so
unfair, but you don’t care anymore, do you?’
‘I bet you never shared a single tear for me Jamie of the past, cause you grew up really fast.’
‘And have you ever told them that old story
About how they stole your diary from me
Oh Boy I bet that gets a good laugh.’
‘Maybe you’re in Hollywood among the movie stars.’

Lipstick

A truly interesting rape and revenge example. Just when you feared it would happen, it did.

Lip is right to be pissed at you Fiona. You’re a 30 year old acting like a teenager. You are going to lose custody of the kids and Lip is gonna have to drop out of college.

Cougar Town

One of the best episodes of the show, every minute simply hilarious and I just love when they all do something together and I love portrayal of yard sales on screen, excellent episode.

If Bobby’s scattering the ashes, why is he sitting in front?

Switched at Birth

The show is not doing good at all this season, I do not see why the girls always have to be messed up with love triangles. There are so many plots they could come up with but no Bay has to have two guys, and guess what? So does Daphne. Don’t even get me started on John cheating on Katherine.

Pretty Little Liars 4.19

I’ll tell you what, for the first time I saw some good acting from the lead actresses, Lucy and Ashley I mean. Troian and Shay did not live up to the noir acting and acted just like in any other episode, meaning I don’t give a rats ass about acting I’m just gonna say the lines like I was talking to whomever wherever. Lindsey looked gorgeous in this episode and the scene she had with Shay was beautiful. I think episode a la noir was a bad idea in general, but again, gave them more time to mess around with us as we did not learn anything new.
